Modern Brush Calligraphy

During my time a freelance designer, I worked on a range of modern calligraphy projects, from brush pen lettering to digital brush calligraphy in Procreate. My calligraphy journey began when I took on the design elements for my own wedding, sparking a passion for lettering that quickly expanded to projects for others. Through word of mouth and social media, calligraphy became a significant part of my freelance work for several years. Although I’m not actively freelancing at the moment, I still receive calligraphy project requests and occasionally take them on because I enjoy the creative process.

This type of work requires strong communication skills, as it involves bringing clients' visions to life. Effectively communicating timelines, sharing my design expertise, and ensuring client satisfaction can be challenging, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. The projects below range from personal commissions and wedding materials to centerpieces for a women-leader-focused event with over 1,000 attendees and beyond.
